'Such excellent help and support from John and Deines, allowing our young people to develop their friendships and regulate emotions in a safe and engaging space.'

Glasgow Green Cycling Centre is a well designed track nestled amongst an orchard. Throughout the year thousands of visitors join us to play together, learn and find independence through two, three, or maybe four wheels. We have a variety of accessible bikes available, including hand cranks bikes, side-by-side tandems, wheelchair cargo bikes, go karts and tricycles.

Our track is open to all.

Feedback 2024

Just a little note to say thank you to all at the staff at Free Wheel North for everything you do for our group of autistic home educated kids. During our time I have seen them build confidence, courage and friendships with volunteers and each other. I am so very grateful. See you in August.

Take care x

The pupils from school had a brilliant time on their bikes. They were well supported, encouraged and safe. As pupils who speak English as a second language this was a very accessible and enjoyable way to spend time outdoors and keeping fit. I would love to see a cycle track in Springburn – it would be perfect for the community and much needed!

Barmulloch Primary did our sponsored cycle here today to raise money for Cash for Kids. We can’t thank Norman enough for his support, organisation and patience! Our children and families showed off their skills and resilience and some learned to ride bikes. What an Amazing place.!!

Came across Free Wheel by chance. Kids absolutely loved it. Plan to come back another day and will definitely tell others. Great work team!

I would love to see this service with more resources to allow them to continue serving the public in the east end of Glasgow. They contribute massively to reducing inequalities and providing a safe and welcoming place for the residents to take part with no constraints. The folk are wonderful who run this. Well done! May you continue to thrive and flourish.

I am a primary teacher working within a nurture base within Miller Primary in Castlemilk. We have visited a couple of times now. Our children enjoy every aspect of the space, choices of things to ride, helpful staff. One of my children felt very anxious on the go kart and after a couple of tries is now fully confident! Our children always ask to come here when we are planning a trip out and the staff always make time to make us feel welcome. At times our children can become distressed or dysregulated and freewheelnorth never places judgement on any situation and always go the extra mile. We recently held a bake sale and our raised funds are for a donation to community cycle which we will be passing on at our next visit. Just wanted to pass on this feedback as it is well earned :)

I was pointed in the direction of this wonderful charity by Cerebral Palsy Scotland while trying to source a trike for my three year old grandson over the Christmas period. What an amazing place! A cycle circuit in the middle of Glasgow Green which is fully accessible to those with disabilities. Staffed by an amazing group of people who are committed to making cycling inclusive for all. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful but also efficient and simply made things happen. The end result being one very happy boy out and about on a trike on his holidays. Fantastic! Thank you Norman and team, you are changing lives. I shall be spreading the word.

Haven’t been since before covid but so glad my son reminded me of his good memories of being here! Brilliant to be back – great, helpful staff, great range of bikes and lively for them to get to try them all. We’ll be back and also recommended it to friends. Thanks so much for keeping this facility going!
