Meet The Team

Norman Armstrong

@ Glasgow Green &

The White House

Norman is the founder and overall manager of Free Wheel North. He campaigns for a healthier, more active Glasgow and champions street design as the main factor in encouraging walking and cycling.

Katy O'Rourke

@ Glasgow Green

Katy is an experienced and qualified bike mechanic who can build a bike from welding the tubes to fine tuning the gears.

Carol Thompson

@ Glasgow Green

Carol keeps the wheels in motion both out on the track and in the office. Carol looks after our marketing and communications materials, and gives voice to our social media presence.

Leslie Horton

@ Glasgow Green

Leslie is one of our trained and qualified ride leaders - and a dab hand with a puncture repair kit! He usually takes our Tuesday and Friday led ride groups, exploring various routes through the city.

Davey Campbell

@ Glasgow Green

Davey can usually be seen trackside at our cycling centre on Glasgow Green. He's been helping out at FWN for several years, in pretty much every capacity, and can practically pack the bike sheds blindfold!

Mick McLaughlin

@ Glasgow Green

Expert bike handler, hawk-eyed track monitor, and all-round mucker-in, Mick's been with FWN long enough to know what needs doing almost before it happens! Check out some of his moves on our film, Far do Bhaidhsagal.
