The Glasgow Green Cycling Centre is an exemplar of public space design where every possible form of pedal power meets every possible need, the project has grown from a niche activity for disabled cyclists in 2011 to a thriving village of pedal power in 2020. Growth has been exponential, from dozens of project users in year one to tens of thousands today. The protected cycle space has doubled in size to over a kilometre, with an orchard launching in 2017 and a café in 2020.
